President Trump says AOC’s ‘extreme’ plan could help him win in 2020

President Trump mocking Democrats' Green New Deal as "an extreme, $100 trillion government takeover" of the economy.

"I'd rather not talk about it tonight, Trump told his audience, "because I don't want to talk them out of it too soon. Because I love campaigning against the Green New Deal. I want them to make that a big part of their platform."

"No more airplanes, no more cows," Trump said. "One car per family ... You know, I don't think one car per family in Michigan plays too well, do you agree? Not too well.
"And it's got to be, of course, an electric car," the president went on as the crowd jeered the Green New Deal. "Even if it only goes, what? 160 miles? What do you do? It's 160 miles. Darling, where do I get a charge? Where do I get a charge?"
Watch:
Yesterday evening the commissioner for the Customs and Border Protection, Kevin McAleenan, issued a stark statement for the public to hear regarding the crisis at the border.
McAleenan, who just two weeks ago warned Congress that our immigration system was nearing the breaking point, now says that ‘breaking point’ has arrived this week.

Watch:
McAleenan says that CPB is experiencing an “unprecedented humanitarian and border security crisis” all across the Southern Border but it’s even worse in El Paso, Texas. He notes that on Monday and Tuesday, CBP began the day with over 12,000 migrants in their custody, noting that yesterday morning it over 13,000.
To put this into perspective, McAleenan says a high number for them is 4,000 and a crisis level is 6,000. He says 13,000 migrants in custody is unprecedented.
Lastly, he says they are now on pace to reach 100,000 apprehensions just in the month of March, and 90% of those will be illegal crossings.
Fast forward to this morning, Trump says Mexico is doing nothing to stem the flow of illegals coming to the border. He also faults Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. He says the Democrats don’t care that we have such bad laws and warns that he may close the southern border:
Closing the southern border would be a big deal, but at this point it might be the only thing they can do to help stem the crisis. The problem is that with 90% of the migrants crossing illegally, it may not be as effective as it sounds. And I’m sure that number would quickly increase once they close it.
The bottom line is that it looks like Trump doesn’t have a lot of good options to deal with the border crisis. Democrats don’t care about fixing our broken immigration laws and the media certainly isn’t going to put pressure on them to make it happen.

  1. STOP the FLOW of MONEY to ALL OFFENDING Nations. Control your people or you will get absolutely NOTHING from America. Remember, “putting America first”.

Sorry folks, but my humanitarian gene went out the window. I’m sick and tired of America being taking advantage of by people who have no desire to do anything about their own “crisis”. If you’re so sick about your country/community then rise up above the circumstances and DO SOMETHING about it. But, don’t bring your garbage to my country/community and demand your way, because “your way” doesn’t work.

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
