BREAKING: AOC shreds Sen. Kyrsten Sinema for leaving the Democratic Party, says she hasn’t offered a “single concrete value or policy she believes in” has “no goals” and “no vision” and “people deserve more.” RT IF YOU’LL FIGHT TO MAKE SURE SINEMA IS NEVER ELECTED AGAIN!

Rep. Alexandria   Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.   is criticizing Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema after she announced her decision to leave the Democratic Party and register as an independent on Friday. Sinema announced the decision in an Arizona Republic op-ed published on Friday, criticizing America's two party system. "Americans are told that we have only two choices – Democrat or Republican – and that we must subscribe wholesale to policy views the parties hold, views that have been pulled further and further toward the extremes," Sinema wrote. "Most Arizonans believe this is a false choice, and when I ran for the U.S. House and the Senate, I promised Arizonans something different." In response, Ocasio-Cortez said that Sinema doesn't offer "a single concrete value or policy she believes in." "She lays out no goals for Arizonans, no vision, no commitments," Ocasio-Cortez said. "It’s ‘no healthcare, just vibes’ for Senate." Ocasio-Cortez

Ocasio-Cortez told : “I’m a Democrat, I’m proud to be on this team. I’m proud to be part of the Democratic majority,”

Ocasio-Cortez said there's a “distinct possibility” she'll be backing more primary challengers, though she said of the two groups: “I don’t anticipate our endorsements will overlap 100 percent." Because the majority of congressional districts are drawn to be solidly Democratic or solidly Republican, the one chance for competition comes in a primary race, she said. "Seventy percent of Americans live in a safe blue seat, or a safe red seat, which means the only choice that they have realistically is in their primary election," she said. "The idea that we should take democracy away from people is one that I fundamentally disagree with.” By pressing for more primaries nationwide, Ocasio-Cortez said she understands that she’ll be at risk for Democratic challengers, too. "I'm comfortable with that," she said. “I want to earn my seat every two years. I want to earn the right to have this job.” You might compare AOC to Jim DeMint, in that

Do Democrats really want Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to be the face of their party?

The freshman congresswoman finds herself at the center of two new controversies; Wendy Osefo, Democratic political analyst, and Republican New York City Councilman Joe Borelli join the debate. She’s only been a congresswoman for less than four months, but AOC’s constituents are already starting to turn against her. I think they are beginning to figure out that she’s more interested in all the media attention she’s getting than she is helping the very people that voted for her. Here’s more from the NY Post: Amid her zeal to save the world with the Green New Deal, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has ignored residents in her own Bronx back yard. “I thought AOC would be our savior, but that’s not the case,” complained Roxanne Delgado, a local activist who said she has tried for months to get in touch with the congresswoman for help saving an animal shelter and to clean up parks in the district. Delgado, 40, says she has made numerous calls to Ocasio-Cortez’s offices in Washi

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on what makes her different from Trump

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on why her movement is not the “Tea Party of the left,” but rather a “return to American representative democracy.” For many Americans, it's easier to believe that Russia — not American voters — installed Trump as president. On Sunday, Attorney General Barr released his summary of Mueller's report, writing that Mueller had found insufficient evidence to prove that Trump conspired with the Russians during the 2016 election. For folks who had hoped that the Mueller report would result in Trump's impeachment, it was heartbreaking. For Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, however, the Mueller report was more than that. It was a wake-up call. "Foreign influence" wasn't the only reason Trump got elected, Ocasio-Cortez claimed in response to a tweet by George Takei. Russia was successful precisely because they played on "national wounds that we refuse to address." This is the REAL conversation we need to have as a

Far-left AOC, Pressley push back against Dem leaders' bid to shield incumbents from primary challengers

Image
Ocasio-Cortez and Pressley, both insurgents who ousted entrenched members of their own party, criticized a recently disclosed policy by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to blacklist political firms that agree to work against sitting members of Congress, calling the policy "harmful to the party." “The @DCCC’s new rule to blacklist+boycott anyone who does business w/ primary challengers is extremely divisive & harmful to the party," Ocasio-Cortez, who unseated 10-term incumbent Joe Crowley, tweeted Saturday. The @DCCC ’s new rule to blacklist+boycott anyone who does business w/ primary challengers is extremely divisive & harmful to the party. My recommendation, if you’re a small-dollar donor: pause your donations to DCCC & give directly to swing candidates instead. Ocasio-Cortez rips McConnell for Green New Deal vote: 'He doesn't want to save our planet'

Image
Speaking to Vox reporter Ella Nilsen, Ocasio-Cortez accused McConnell of rushing a vote and not wanting to take action against climate change "because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned. “What McConnell’s doing is that he’s trying to rush this bill to the floor without a hearing... without working through committee -- because he doesn’t want to save our planet. Because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned,” she reportedly said. In a tweet on Monday, McConnell seemingly addressed accusations that he was manipulating the vote to divide Democrats. “I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stand on the ‘Green New Deal’: a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire U.S. economy," he wrote. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tossed another childish temper tantrum today, this time while speaking in Congress. Watch b

Ocasio-Cortez girlls Mike Lee: ‘If this guy can be Senator, you can do anything’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted in response to a screenshot of the Republican Utah lawmaker while he spoke on the Senate floor. Like many other women + working people, I occasionally suffer from impostor syndrome: those small moments, especially on hard days, where you wonder if the haters are right. But then they do things like this to clear it right up. The tweet included a previous CSPAN post of a five-minute clip taken as the New York Democrat was questioning James W. Carroll, the White House director of drug policy. The tweet included the caption: “@AOC compares #OpioidCrisis to #SouthernBorder: ‘So, we've got two emergencies, one is treated with an actual action and the other is just to raise awareness.’” 💰Amount President Trump has transferred from other agencies to fund his ‘Build the Wall’ Emergency: $10s of millions, & has identified billions more. 💰 Amount he’s transferred to address the Opioid National Emergency: $0 https://t.co/KamONSr67q — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says 'Capitalism is irredeemable'

Image
During her talk, which reportedly drew the largest crowds at the popular Austin festival, Ocasio-Cortez slammed capitalism. "Capitalism is an ideology of capital — the most important thing is the concentration of capital and to seek and maximize profit,” Ocasio-Cortez said. "And that comes at any cost to people and to the environment, she said, according to Bloomberg News, “so to me capitalism is irredeemable." Although the self-described Democratic socialist stopped short of saying capitalism should be scrapped altogether, she explained that "we're reckoning with the consequences of putting profit above everything else in society. And what that means is people can't afford to live. For me, it's a question of priorities and right now I don't think our model is sustainable." Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just keeps getting stronger by saying the abjectly stupid crap that Democrats actually believe but have been too shy to admi

Ocasio-Cortez attended Sanders’ rally in Brooklyn on Saturday: “I did not. Yesterday was my day to take care of myself.”

“Um, he, he didn’t, actually,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “I think that, we’ve been, uh, so we’ve been in active conversation, I’ve been speaking with him and several other of the 2020 (presidential) candidates.”

Instead of embracing cheaper, greener travel methods, Ocasio-Cortez logged 66 airline transactions during her 2018 campaign while only using Amtrak 18 times, according to the Post. Rick Perry says: "A bunch of kids who've never been on the playground before they've never even been on the field of play before they're sitting on the sidelines."

Secretary of Energy  Rick Perry  spoke with Brian Kilmeade about the Green New Deal, calling the people behind it, "A bunch of kids who've never been on the playground before they've never even been on the field of play before they're sitting on the sidelines." Perry says their goal of zero emissions in 10 years at a cost of 90 trillion dollars is 'fantasy.' Perry also pushed back on democrats who are against nuclear energy, he said America is at a crossroads because regulations on nuclear energy puts America at a disadvantage, not only with civil nuclear energy, but can lead to America losing the intellectual capital to keep America where it needs to be in a nuclear weapons arena. Democrats face growing split over controversial Green New Deal

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hits back at Sen. Dianne Feinstein over comments to student activists on climate change proposal; reaction from Ed Rendell, former DNC chairman. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was live from her kitchen again last night where she answered questions from viewers.
