‘It’s twisted and it’s evil’: Jim Acosta reacts to Trump's remark during interview.

CNN's Jim Acosta discusses the chaos around masks in schools and other coronavirus restrictions, and some Republicans who are supporting the apparent bullies in these instances.

The White House Press Secretary on Trump's push to reopen schools: "The science should not stand in the way of this."

McEnany reiterated  President Trump 's strong stance on wanting children to be going back to school in the fall amid a fiery debate about how educators can prevent the spread of the coronavirus outbreak. "The science should not stand in the way of this, but as Dr. Scott Atlas said -- I thought this was a good quote, 'Of course, we can do it. Everyone else in the Western world, our peer nations are doing it. We are the outlier here,'" McEnany said, quoting the former Stanford Medical Center neurology chief. "The science is very clear on this. For example, you look at the JAMA pediatric study of 46 pediatric hospitals in North America that said the risk of critical illness from COVID is far less for children than the seasonal flu. The science is on our side here. We encourage localities and states to just simply follow the science. Open our schools," she continued. After playing a clip of that exchange on his show, Tapper corrected CNN's chief

CNN's Jim Acosta discusses his experiences covering the Trump administration with Brian Stelter: "Trump is more crazy like a fox"

"I tell folks, I’m not a psychiatrist," Acosta said on CNN's "Reliable Sources." "I can’t assess the president’s mental state, but I will tell you is my sense of it, covering him for a pretty long period of time now, is that he’s more crazy like a fox." Acosta went on to note former White House chief strategist  Steve Bannon told him in an interview that Trump purposefully says sensationalistic things to stir reactions from the press.  "Bannon explains in an interview that I had with him, that what Trump tries to do is really control the narrative by saying sensational things that sound wild and nutty sometimes, and he does this because he knows it dominates the news cycle," Acosta said. "That make it a priority for us in the news business to talk about him nonstop. And he loves that and he capitalizes [on] that." Acosta, who has repeatedly sparred with the White House, spoke with CNN's Brian Stelter just days ahead of th

Anderson Cooper: How many 'fine people' would march with Nazis?

Image
CNN's Anderson Cooper rips President Donald Trump for once again defending his 2017 comments that there were "very fine people on both sides" of the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left one counterprotester dead. This is exactly what I was talking about the in last post where Trump was defending his Charlottesville comments. Pathetic Jim Acosta ‘fact checks’ Trump’s comments from this morning, suggesting he was talking about Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists: Trump defends his “very fine people” comments on Charlottesville: “People were there protesting the taking down of the monument of Robert E. Lee. Everybody knows that.” Fact check: There were many neo-Nazis and white supremacists. — Jim Acosta (@Acosta) April 26, 2019 But as we pointed out  that’s clearly not true . And folks on Twitter were quick to point that out as well: Fact check this: "I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, bec

Trump accuses Jim Acosta of asking a 'very political question' at Rose Garden news conference

“You are presenting information about what’s happening at the border, calling it an invasion, talking about women with duct tape over their mouths and so on, and yet there is a lot of reporting out there, a lot of crime data out there ... that shows border crossings at a near record low,” Acosta said. Trump fired back, “That’s because of us,” as the CNN reporter attempted to talk over the president. “Excuse me,” Trump intervened. “It’s still massive numbers of crossings.” Watch below: Acosta – who has emerged as a hero among progressives for attacking Trump and members of his administration when they’re available to the press – then said stats show “undocumented immigrants committing crime at lower levels than native-born Americans.” Trump rebuked Acosta by asking, “You don’t really believe that stats, do you?” As Acosta tried to keep talking, Trump repeated himself. “Do you really believe that stat? Take a look at our federal prisons,” Trump said as he gestured A

¡AUGE!

Reloj: At border round table at WH, Trump again spars with @Acosta over his video from the border (the one Trump mocked with a “Dear Diary…” response)  Aquí hay una transcripción parcial: TRUMP: Good job yesterday. I appreciate your sales pitch. I appreciate your sales pitch. ACOSTA: I didn’t see an invasion at the border. TRUMP: Oh you didn’t…I know. That’s because we had a wall. ACOSTA: Actually there were portions that didn’t have a wall. TRUMP: There’s some places that don’t. [pause] That was good promotion for us. Trump luego se dirigió a otros en la reunión y dijo: "Eso fue una gran promoción". ¿Viste eso anoche? ¡Me encanta! Trump también dijo en la reunión que preferiría no declarar una emergencia nacional, que es la salida más fácil

Jim Acosta mocked for accidentally proving that border walls WORK with new videos trying to undermine Trump…

“Here are some of the steel slats that the president’s been talking about,” Acosta said while reporting from the southern border. “But as we’re walking along here, we’re not seeing any kind of imminent danger.” He released a couple of videos this morning to suggest that McAllen is plenty safe and there is no border crisis: All quiet on this stretch of the border ahead of Trump’s visit to McAllen TX area.  I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation.. at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today.  Nadine has lived in the McAllen area about a decade. She says it’s safe here and hasn’t seen people coming across the border causing crime and mayhem.  Jose has lived here in the McAllen TX area his whole life. He also tells me it is very safe here.  But did you notice where Acosta is filming in the top video, there’s a border fence? And a steel slats wall in the

“You’re such a smart ass!”

Autsch! Hier ist der Austausch per Daily Mail: Hier ist mehr: White House counselor Kellyanne Conway slammed Jim Acosta as ‘a smart ass’ on Tuesday after the CNN reporter asked her if President Donald Trump will ‘tell the truth’ in his Oval Office address. Conway, speaking to reporters in the White House driveway, didn’t hold back on her contempt for Acosta, telling him she was the ‘only one around here who gives you the time of day’ – a likely reference to her fellow administration officials. The 60 second exchange came ahead of Trump’s primetime speech on border security Tuesday night as the White House and Democrats remain at an impasse on ending the
