Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tells CNN's Dana Bash that a Texas judge's ruling to revoke FDA approval for a key abortion pill is "an extraordinary example of judicial overreach."

A ruling from U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk on the abortion pill should just be outright ignored, said Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on CNN. And of course Anderson Cooper is fine with that. She used the excuse they use for everything, which the media is fine with. Call him a Trump judge and you don’t have to abide by his decisions. “Well, you know, I think rulings like this, and I think we’ve seen from the FDA and also from activity in Congress that some of these rulings, I think we’ve been preparing and anticipating for there being these egregious overreaches by members of the judiciary appointed by a right-wing Republican Party, whose goal for a very long time was to just pack these Courts with partisan Judges often under qualified or completely unqualified for the for their role.” "What you just heard me ask the secretary about was something that you called on the Biden administration to do, which is just to simply ignore the court ruling. That’s a pretty

Rep. Alexandria   Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.   is criticizing Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema after she announced her decision to leave the Democratic Party and register as an independent on Friday. Sinema announced the decision in an Arizona Republic op-ed published on Friday, criticizing America's two party system. "Americans are told that we have only two choices – Democrat or Republican – and that we must subscribe wholesale to policy views the parties hold, views that have been pulled further and further toward the extremes," Sinema wrote. "Most Arizonans believe this is a false choice, and when I ran for the U.S. House and the Senate, I promised Arizonans something different." In response, Ocasio-Cortez said that Sinema doesn't offer "a single concrete value or policy she believes in." "She lays out no goals for Arizonans, no vision, no commitments," Ocasio-Cortez said. "It’s ‘no healthcare, just vibes’ for Senate." Ocasio-Cortez

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decried the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, and took particular issue with the state of Arkansas for banning most abortions after the landmark opinion was released.  "This decision and this policy will kill people no matter what their spin and what their talking points are," Ocasio-Cortez said on MSNBC’s "Meet the Press" on Sunday morning.  Host Chuck Todd has asked the congresswoman about Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson signing into law a "trigger" statute that banned all abortions in the state except in the event to save a mother’s life. The law was signed after the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe on Friday.  "I couldn't disagree more with Governor Hutchinson, but I think what's really important is honing in on this idea that the … the governor and the Republican Party, and frankly the Republican legislature in Arkansas, cares about the life of a woman and the life of a mot

AOC dodges on whether she'll support Biden in 2024, focuses on midterms: 'That's not a yes'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., did not answer yes -- and instead focused on this year’s midterms -- when asked if she would support President Biden if he chooses to run for re-election in 2024.  In an appearance on CNN’s "State of the Union" Sunday, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about her feelings about the president seeking a second term , and she responded very delicately. "I just want to ask about President Biden. He is saying he's going to run again in 2024. Will you support him?" CNN host Dana Bash asked.  "You know, if the president chooses to run again in 2024, I mean, first of all, I'm focused on winning this majority right now and preserving a majority this year in 2022," Ocasio-Cortez said. "So, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it … I think if the president has a vision and that's something certainly we're all willing to entertain and examine when the time comes."
