BREAKING News: Michael Cohen has been remanded back into the custody of federal authorities and will be sent back to jail.

This comes after pictures were taken of Cohen at a Manhattan restaurant outside of his residence this weekend. BREAKING: Michael Cohen taken back into custody. @katyturnbc : "The attny. said it could relate to his visit to a NY restaurant. ... This is not ... what [Cohen] was expecting." @chucktodd : "It's worth noting that ... the president was unhappy when he got released from prison." pic.twitter.com/wOUMM1AOL0 — Heidi Heitkamp (@HeitkampHeidi) July 10, 2020 Roland Martin, who I have very little respect for,  tweeted   “Michael Cohen truly has to be an idiot. You are let out of jail and you decide to go to a public restaurant? He should get sent back for being STUPID.” Defense attorney Jeffrey Levine  said Cohen had been ordered to appear at the federal court in downtown Manhattan to convert his furlough to home confinement but was detained after failing to agree to the terms of the federal location monitoring for the Southern District of N

Trump shames Dems for holding Cohen hearing during nuclear summit

President Donald Trump slams Democrats for holding Michael Cohen hearing during second North Korea summit. For the Democrats to interview in open hearings a convicted liar & fraudster, at the same time as the very important Nuclear Summit with North Korea, is perhaps a new low in American politics and may have contributed to the “walk.” Never done when a president is overseas. Shame! While I do agree that it was perhaps a new low in American politics, I don’t believe it contribut

Stewart breaks with Trump: "extraordinarily unlikely" Kim Jong-un wasn't ware of Otto Warmbier's treatment

Rep. Chris Stewart calls Otto Warmbier's death "an absolute murder." "It's torture and murder. I think that the North Korean regime should be held accountable for it... We can't turn a blind eye to how this young man was treated." More from fox news: Rep. Chris Stewart: Michael Cohen was very clear that he has no evidence of Russian collusion President Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen testifies for eight hours in a closed-door session; insight from Rep. Lanny Davis says Cohen's closed-door testimony was "game-changing," chock full of new information

Image
Lanny Davis, attorney for Michael Cohen, tells Rachel Maddow that "game changing" information related to "lying and obstruction evidence" was developed with Cohen's testimony to the House Intelligence Committee today, prompting them to ask him to return on March 6th. Davis could not go into detail about the testimony, but said it mostly related to “lying and obstruction,” not the core of the Russia investigation. “I think that the Trump White House, and Mr. Trump himself, doesn’t seem to have read the definition of obstruction of justice or of suborning perjury,” Davis said. “That’s about the best I can tell you, but it’s pretty explosive.” Cohen is slated to return before the House Intelligence Committee on March 6. “There’s not much I can say other than it was very productive,” Cohen said of the first session. “As I said, I’m committed to telling the truth, and I will be back on March 6 to finish up. There’s more to discuss.”

Lynne Patton said in a little-noticed Facebook post that Michael Cohen turned on Trump after Robert Mueller threatened to prosecute his wife.

Image
In case you can’t read that, it says: What many of you may not be aware of is the fact that I can personally confirm that the ONLY reason Michael Cohen “turned on” the President of the United States is because Mueller threatened to throw his wife in jail for up to 30 years. Period. She is the co-guarantor of a $20M personal loan that Mueller discovered Michael secured back in 2015 by falsely inflating the value of his taxi medallions – effectively making her part & parcel to the federal charge of “Making False Statements to a Financial Institution,” to which Cohen ultimately plead guilty. This is also the reason why Cohen’s longtime taxi medallion partner, Evgeny “Gene” Freidman, was granted immunity. Now of course none of this has been verified to my knowledge, but I don’t know why she’d lie about such a thing. In fact she wrote it as part of a longer Facebook post in mid January, well before the hearing took place. See Also:  Elderly man 'assaulted' while weari

Eric Swalwell : ‘I Don’t Really Care’ About Alleged Hush Money, Nor Do ‘Most People’

Image
Swalwell appeared on MSNBC to discuss the developments from the testimony of Michael Cohen, who formerly served as Trump's personal attorney. Anchor Katy Tur asked Swalwell whether he had heard anything from the testimony that led him to believe that Trump has committed a "high crime or a misdemeanor," and he said he did. In addition, Swalwell said he was going to focus on Russia rather than Trump's personal life. More from the Free Beacon: “Frankly, I don’t really care too much about the payoffs to the women. I don’t think most people do either,” Swalwell said. Swalwell put his focus on Roger Stone, a political ally and informal adviser to Trump, and concluded that Stone must have talked to Trump about WikiLeaks, the web site accused of obtaining hacked DNC emails from Russian operatives. “As it relates to Russia, we learned that the president was in contact with Roger Stone. We saw in our investigation that all the evidence pointed in that directi

Democratic freshman lawmaker Tlaib calls Mark Meadows a "RACIST"

“Just because someone has a person of color, a black person working for them, does not mean they aren’t racist and it is insensitive that some would even say, the fact that someone would actually use a prop, a black woman in this chamber, in this committee, is alone racist in itself.”  Rashida Tlaib aksed. An emotional Meadows fired back, saying Lynne Patton, a Trump aide and official at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, wanted to be present in support of President Trump. He asked that Tlaib's remarks be stricken from the record. “My nieces and nephews are people of color. Not many people know that. You know that, Mr. Chairman. And to indicate that I asked someone who is a personal friend of the Trump family, who has worked for him, who knows this particular individual (motioning to Cohen), that she’s coming in to be a prop -- it's racist to suggest that I asked her to come in here for that reason."  OK I have to admit that chairman Cummings play

Chris Wallace: Cohen's testimony indicates 'criminal exposure' for Trump

Image
Chris Wallace and Martha MacCallum share their analysis on Michael Cohen's testimony. “It may not get the most attention, but I thought the most explosive piece of information was the fact that there is an on going criminal investigation by the Southern District of New York — those are the local prosecutors in Manhattan, not the special counsel — about possible crimes involving President Trump,” Wallace said. “And that Michael Cohen is participating under that investigation, and in fact, has been told by prosecutors there are certain things he can’t discuss. So that raises the real possibility of criminal exposure — not to say that he’s been indicted or charged with anything — but the potential of criminal exposure for President Trump in the Southern District of New York.” See Also:  Todd Starnes speaks with Rep. Cohen dropped a piece of news during the hearing today, suggesting that his conversations with Trump after the raid of his home and businesses are under investigation by the SDNY – and that he was asked not to discuss it: THE HILL  – Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney who is set for a three-year jail term on charges related to financial crimes, estimated that he last spoke with Trump or someone acting on his behalf last fall, though he could not recall a specific date. “I would suspect it was within two months post-the raid,” he said, referring to the April 2018 FBI raid of his home, hotel room and office. Asked what they discussed, Cohen said, “Unfort

UNBELIEVABLE: CNN says Michael Cohen has already LIED under oath about NOT wanting to work in the White House!

Image
As you’ve already seen, Jim Jordan lit into Michael Cohen this morning about him wanting to work in the White House. Jordan even suggested that Trump never choosing him to work in the White House is what he’s really angry about and why he’s doing the hearing. But Cohen was emphatic, saying point blank that he  never  wanted to work in the White House. He was always happy just to be Trump’s Well as it turns out, Jim Jordan was right and Cohen was lying. How do we know? CNN confirmed it: As someone said on Twitter, when you lose CNN… I saw a few people on Twitter saying that Cohen very much wanted to work in the White House, and now CNN is saying it too. And it’s not just Dana Bash’s reporting, most on the panel agreed based on their reporting too. Dana Bash argues in the video clip that if Trump really wanted Cohen in the White House, he would have been there. She uses Omarosa as just one example of that. Remember, Cohen was  sworn in  before he gave his testimony

Michael Cohen reacts Jim Jordan : ‘Shame on you, Mr. Jordan’

“Shame on you Mr. Jordan, that’s not what I said,” he said to Jordan. The exchange came after Cohen, who was testifying on Capitol Hill, was grilled by Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., about the charges of bank fraud that were part of the financial crimes to which he pled guilty in August. Cohen said he took exception with Comer’s statements because “I never defrauded any bank” although he admitted wrongdoing at the same time. Michael Cohen Says "President Trump is a racist, conman and cheat"

In an opening statement to the House Oversight Committee, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen accuses his former client of knowing about the Roger Stone-WikiLeaks plot but denies 'direct evidence' of Russia collusion. And some People don't believe him...........hu.....hu'...... As Trump's former personal attorney testified against Donald Trump before Congress on Wednesday morning, the American people came to realize he had receipts for daaaaaaays. Cohen presented a number of documents to Congress — including damning financial statements, news clippings, tweets, and more — Twitter users began to realize Cohen's receipts might rival the ridiculously long ones CVS gives its customers. At least twice during his opening statement, Cohen stared directly into the camera to address Trump directly. The first time, Cohen gazed into the camera and stated, dramatically, "I am no longer your fixer, Mr. Trump." As Cohen discussed several allegations against the president — from racist comments he's made in private to his connections with Russia — the boys furiously rage-tweeted to defend their father's honor.
