McConnell didn’t hesitate to attack Trump over it, suggesting he’s ‘highly unlikely to ever be elected again’

TAN - Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell  opened his weekly news conference by saying: "First, let me just say that there is no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy. And anyone meeting with people advocating that point of view, in my judgment, are highly unlikely to ever be elected president of the United States." I may be rooting for DeSantis should he decide to run in 2024, but I hate attacks like this. Trump explained why he met with Kanye and also explained he had nothing to do with Fuentes coming, that it was Kanye who brought him. But Mitch McConnell can’t waste the opportunity to side with Democrats and the garbage media on attacking Trump. I get it, Trump has been hard on McConnell and he wants to lash back. But this is just below the belt in my opinion. If he wants to attack Trump, attack him for something that’s true and not some conspiracy theory among his Democrat colleagues and the media. Lastly….

‘If that’s not politics, I don’t know what is’ — Jen Psaki calls out Sen. Mitch McConnell for working against Democrats in raising the debt limit

Q    And at what point will the White House and the Treasury Department and members of Democratic leadership chart a different path?  At what point will it become clear whether you’re going to get 10 Republican votes or not? MS. PSAKI:  Well, we’re working on options now.  You’ve obviously seen Leader Schumer look to move forward in a Dem- — with Democrats.  We’re being blocked on that effort currently by Cong- — by Senator McConnell — I almost demoted him by accident — by Senator McConnell, by Senator Cruz and others.  And what’s so absurd about this is that these are individuals, especially Senator McConnell, who have made very clear in the past about their concerns and the risks of the U.S. government defaulting.  This is why it’s never happened in the past.  It would have a huge, devastating impact on our economy.  He knows that.  He’s stated that publicly.  He still won’t vote for it, and he still is trying to stop us from raising the debt limit.  If that’s not politics, I don

Schumer compares Mitch McConnell to Herbert Hoover, calls Obamagate a 'discredited conspiracy theory', Spar Over NY Post Cover

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer  criticized his  Republican  colleagues on Thursday, claiming they were wrong to focus on Obamagate, which he called a discredited conspiracy theory, during the  coronavirus pandemic . "For the Senate and President Trump to spend time on this when we have a COVID crisis is just absolutely absurd," he said during an interview on "The View." "We should be focusing on helping people through this crisis, not pursuing already discredited conspiracy theories." Co-host Meghan McCain had asked Schumer whether he could say with 100 percent certainty that Obamagate — alleging that former President Obama worked to undermine Trump — was a conspiracy theory. Schumer defended Obama by indicating that he appropriately responded to concerns about Russian interference in the 2016 elections. "Well, I didn’t say it," he said. "17 intelligence agencies — these are nonpartisan. These are people who have risked the

Ocasio-Cortez rips McConnell for Green New Deal vote: 'He doesn't want to save our planet'

Speaking to Vox reporter Ella Nilsen, Ocasio-Cortez accused McConnell of rushing a vote and not wanting to take action against climate change "because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned. “What McConnell’s doing is that he’s trying to rush this bill to the floor without a hearing... without working through committee -- because he doesn’t want to save our planet. Because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned,” she reportedly said. In a tweet on Monday, McConnell seemingly addressed accusations that he was manipulating the vote to divide Democrats. “I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stand on the ‘Green New Deal’: a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire U.S. economy," he wrote. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tossed another childish temper tantrum today, this time while speaking in Congress. Watch b
