Lindsey Graham: Trump cediendo ante los demócratas será el FIN de su presidencia

Lindsey Graham estuvo con Hannity anoche arremetiendo contra los demócratas por su hipocresía por el financiamiento del muro fronterizo.

Graham dijo que los ha visto, bajo presidentes anteriores, votar por cantidades mucho más grandes para la seguridad de la frontera. Él dice que simplemente no quieren que Trump gane en el tema y por eso le están diciendo "infierno no" a Trump.




Pero es el final de la entrevista donde Graham subraya la importancia de esta pelea, diciendo que Trump no puede rendirse o que es el final de su presidencia:
If he gives in now, that’s the end of 2019 in terms of him being an effective president. That’s probably the end of his presidency. Donald Trump has made a promise to the American people. He’s going to secure our border.
Creo que tiene razón porque esta promesa fue absolutamente central en la campaña de Trump para ser presidente. Será clave para su reelección en 2020.

Sin embargo, todos sabemos que si Trump cede y va por una ruta diferente, utilizando fondos del Pentágono u otras áreas del gobierno, Graham y el resto estarán detrás de él, culpando a los demócratas por el hecho de que Trump debe cumplir su promesa a través de otros medios.

Por cierto, Graham aborda esta ruta alternativa para financiar el muro en la entrevista. Básicamente, está de acuerdo en que Trump puede hacerlo, pero dice que un movimiento como ese se resolvería con demandas y argumenta que Trump realmente no debería tener que jugar ese juego. Está claro que Graham preferiría que Trump mantuviera la lucha contra los demócratas que usan el cierre del gobierno para forzar su mano en lugar de ir por la ruta alternativa.
