Stormy Daniels says Former President Trump does not deserve incarceration

Piers Morgan sat down with Stormy Daniels for an interview to discuss all things Trump and that interview airs tonight.

In a preview clip released, Daniels is asked if she would get closure to see Trump jailed.

During the stunning interview, Morgan asked Daniels if she was prepared to testify at a potential trial.

"It's daunting, but I look forward to it. You know what I mean? Because I have nothing to hide," she said. "I'm the only one that has been telling the truth. And, you know, it can't shame me anymore

Daniels then said there is "absolutely" no doubt she would testify.

"I think having them call me in and put me on the stand legitimizes my story and who I am. And if they don't, it almost feels like they're hiding me," Daniels said.

Despite being eager to take the stand, the adult film star doesn’t believe Trump deserves to land in jail – at least for the hush money case.

"I don't think that his crimes against me are worthy of incarceration. I feel like the other things that he has done, if he is found guilty. Absolutely," she said.

Trump has dismissed any notion of wrongdoing.

"I never thought anything like this could happen in America. I never thought it could happen," Trump said Tuesday night. "The only crime that I have committed is fearlessly defending our nation from those who seek to destroy it."

Before speaking with Morgan, Daniels responded with a vulgar message that gloated over not being "under arrest."

"Y'all keep saying ‘c-- dumpster’ like it's a bad thing," Daniels tweeted. "It's definitely more fun being under my sexy man instead of under arrest."

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
