Bombshell : Donald Trump Jr says Democrats hoping for coronavirus disaster is 'new level of sickness'

Rep. David Cicilline on Mick Mulvaney: "The idea that the chief of staff to the President of the United States would dismiss this very serious public health crisis and suggest to people that it's really an effort to bring down the President is absurd and dangerous."

This morning Donald Trump Jr. went on Fox and Friends and blasted Democrats for hoping the Coronavirus comes here and kills millions of people so that it can politically damage Trump enough to make him lose in November:

Brian Kilmeade: And so now we're getting to sprint towards November for -- to -- to see if your dad can get four more years. Are you surprised the way they've been handling the coronavirus situation, meaning Democrats?
Don Jr.: Not at all. I mean, we've seen -- like you said, we've seen this play out for four years. Anything that they can use to try to hurt Trump, they will. Anything he does in a positive sense, like you heard from the reporter that was just suspended from ABC, they will not give him credit for. The playbook is old at this point.
But for them to try to take a pandemic and seemingly hope that it comes here, and kills millions of people so that they could end Donald Trump's streak of winning, is a new level of sickness. You know, I don't know if this is coronavirus or Trump derangement syndrome, but these people are infected badly.

As you can see, even Erick Erickson agrees with the assessment by Trump Jr. What he’s referring to is an op-ed in the New York Times entitled “Let’s Call It Trumpvirus”, with a subheading that says “If you’re feeling awful, you know who to blame.”
Today on MSNBC a Democratic congressman responded to these remarks by Trump Jr. and instead of just decrying them, he actually threatens violence on Trump Jr.:
The tweet says “UNHINGED: Democrat John Garamendi threatens President Trump’s son @DonaldJTrumpJr with physical violence: “He should not be near me when he says that. There would be a serious altercation… Don Jr. had better not get any place close to me. It would not be a healthy situation.””
Gone are the days when a politician just mocks or ignores someone they disagree with. In are the days when they want to punch someone in the face with whom they disagree. It’s outrageous!

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
